Bokeh Sushi

    Newer Older

This is a single exposure through a window reflecting light. Brendan Bellomo and I were having dinner at a Japanese restaurant after a day of shooting 35mm and Super 8mm. The restaurant's many lights were reflecting off the window and they looked pretty neat, so I told Brendan to go outside and pretend to grab them.

His chopsticks were perfectly grabbing the edges of the bokeh in the viewfinder, but I forgot to factor in that at f1.2, they would appear larger in the final photo.

Apparently, a bunch of people like this photo, but I've never really liked it. Thanks, guys.
