In Norse mythology, Mjölnir ; also Mjǫlnir, Mjollnir, Mjölner or Mjølne is the hammer of Thor, a major god associated with thunder. Distinctively shaped, Mjölnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains.
