introducing Adva!

    Newer Older

My newest pattern is now live on the Knit Picks site! Adva is a wrap crocheted in an angular ripple stitch and finished with tassels at each end. It's worked up in five colors of Knit Picks Swish Worsted at a (somewhat) loose gauge so it's drapey and breathable. I put a little writeup on my blog, and the pattern is on ravelry (but only for sale through Knit Picks) for queuing, faving, etc. Hope you enjoy!

And millions and millions of thanks to Kat who so patiently let me pose her and take 90000 pictures of her wearing a wool wrap on what was kiiiiind of a warm day. :)

LollyKnit, berthacrowley, ladyfroufrou, and 6 other people added this photo to their favorites.

geez i like this... makes me want to take up crochet. if i've never crocheted, would this be too challenging? i read your description over on the rav, but i don't know how challeninging those things are :)

You knowwww if you could learn the basic stitches (how to chain and double crochet) with some instruction it would be workable as a first project. I THINK. I mean, I'm obviously always available to guide you both! I think the only tricky part would be learning to read your stitches and telling where to stick your hook (har) but that's just generally the thing a lot of knitters struggle with when it comes to crochet, I think, and it's not especially difficult with this pattern. Is that at all helpful?!

I LOVE IT. And how much does it remind me of the crazy wallpaper?!

It is helpful... I am just getting comfortable with the basics... I need some more one-on-one time with experts. I learn best when watching other people. thanks for sharing, L :)
