Image 3 of three old photographs: RMS Titanic
RMS Titanic on her maiden voyage, 11-Apr-1912, waiting off Queenstown (now Cobh) to pick up passengers and mail. The standard route was Southampton-Cherbourg on day 1, Queenstown on day 2, and then New York. Ships of this size could not dock at Queenstown, so mails and passengers were carried out on smaller tenders. This photograph may have been taken from one of the tenders. It is also, perhaps, one of the last photographs of Titanic. After Queenstown, the ship would not have been "accessible" to photographers, and there could be no more photographs apart from those taken on board. I do not know how many of those survive.
