039 EMF 10K 2014 Sector 2 Marshal points 2.14
Marshal point 2.14, the turn from the path (before the tunnel).
You'll have your back to the tunnel, blocking the runners path into the tunnel and you'll be guiding the runners through the gated area in the picture. If you're new to marshalling it also helps to hold your right arm out in plenty of time so that the runners know where they're going without having to slow down or ask you as they approach.
The public will be allowed along the path on race day so there is a chance of collision! Although this path is straight and visibility is generally good, be prepared to make people aware of each other e.g. let runners know if a bike is coming along behind them and vice versa. Walkers too, if there is a risk of collision (e.g if they have dogs or children).
If this gate isn't open on race day you may be best to work with marshal 2.15 to guide the runners into the left gap in this picture (and stay left) and bring walkers and cyclists down through the right hand path (so they will be asked by marshal 2.15 to stay left as they approach you).
