219 GREAT WITCHINGHAM The Assumption

A rather large church in a rather large church yard, which is rather well looked after, the tall 14th century tower and tall clerestory give it an austere look, the aisles look small in comparison to the beautiful 15th century clerestory, there is a small south transept built into the south aisle.

The chancel is late 13th century and has an amazing east window, which makes up for the north side that is very blank with only one small window on the nave end.
