123 ERPINGHAM Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Erpingham parish church is a long way from the village, sitting to the south-east on its own, the church is large, but not large enough for the tower, which is a nicely huge 15th century beauty, the 14th century nave has an aisle on the south side but not on the north, and from the north the nave and chancel look small in comparison

The font comes from St Benedict in Norwich, which was virtually destroyed in World War Two
