116 ROUGHTON St Mary

Roughton is a village a few miles out of Cromer on the main Cromer to Norwich road, on the Norwich side is the Beautiful round tower church of St Mary, sitting in its large graveyard up a dusty track, the fine and very ancient Anglo-Saxon tower has triangle tops to the belfry openings, and lower down there is interesting herringbone design in the brickwork, the church was rebuilt in the late 1300's with added aisles and porches north and south, with a fine clerestory.
