24 Flew Over the Cow's Rest

    Newer Older

This tree can be found multiple times in my stream... it's one of my favorites and because I drive past it, sometimes as many as 6 times a day, I see it often. I have, in the past, had to defend my simple horizons... people argue with me assuming I remove all kinds of things - but I try to explain where I live and its simple beauty.

There are many cows out in this pasture which sits far off the road (thus the slightly lower clarity of focus) but they must have all crested the hill on this winter's day. You can see some of the trees popping up in back and the curve of the hill is exactly this. There were birds that I admitedly enhanced just because I wanted to. But other than that, this image pretty much sums it up - simplicity, "yummy enough to eat it up" texture and the inspiration that comes from the beauty of this wonderful world and the things that seem to coincidentally just happen.

I so enjoy your work and admire your art tremendously Jamie. I can't imagine anyone arguing anything related to your art. They have no vision apparently. All your work is so well created.
