New Corridor Lino
A short lived innovation to the corridor outside my room was this cheap lino. It was so thin and so poorly laid, that it soon tore and had to be removed. It wasn't paid for by the prison; I'd find it nearly impossible to name one single renovation that the prison paid for. The lino was bought by the new blok foreman (a later foreman put fans along this corridor). At this stage, the blok was still occupied by prisoners of 'middling means' (such as myself). Windows and doors haven't yet been sealed, and 'korpi's were still sleeping in the corridor. Once the super-rich took over, all their servants were crammed together into one cell. I was very grateful for this as it meant that I no longer had people chatting outside my room late into the night.
