Seven Turrets - Project Flickr: 26/52 - Exactly Seven

    These Turret shells are from the Turretella genus of sea snails that prefer living on muddy or sandy bottoms. Also called Auger shells.

    I believe that they were used as a sort of currency in ancient times.
