Traditional - Meiji Shrine

This lady was actually accompanying a wedding procession. Her job most likely being to take care of the bride who was wearing a very traditional, and very elaborate, kimono. Many couples have their wedding ceremony at the Meiji Shrine and parade through the grounds for all to see (and have their picture taken by all the tourists - like me).

While I didn't actually get a good shot of the happy couple, I was pleased with how this one turned out. The color of her kimono seems to be complemented by the wood tones and gold trimmings around her. And I like the look she has on her face as well as the hand held closely to her mid section.
