Methoni Castle Dawn

Methoni is a small village at far the south of the western peninsula in the Peloponnesse. At the southern tip of the town is a large castle dating back to the 13th century. Surrounded three sides by sea and the fourth with a large moat.

Taken at dawn just before the sun came up giving some great suble pastel shades. This was taken from the man made rock jetty looking over towards the castle, mainly the bourtzi with the island of Sapienza in the distance.
