Chicago has weird malls. Our suburban-style indoor shopping centers go up instead of out.
This mall has only two escalators and they both go up. The other ways to traverse the floors is to take one of three elevators in exposed shafts or to walk around in a circle up or down all the ramps.
Each of the four sides of the mall is 1/4th lower or higher than the side next to it. That means it takes a complete revolution to traverse one story.
