Salmon Rescue, Isle of Lewis
Following a drought salmon heavily infested with sea lice entered a Lewis river. With the fish unable to reach fresh water, the parasite remained attached, weakening the salmon further and killing many.
To help the salmon survive the OHFT and volunteers netted and moved over 70 salmon to the river's pools above.

Unable to live in fresh water, the lice will soon drop off the fish. We can only hope the have the strength to survive until they spawn in December.
