Northern Harrier - going for the kill

Quite a few people witnessed the Northern Harrier kill a Common Gallinule (formerly called a Common Moorhen) last Friday morning at Green Cay. We couldn't see the gory details because of the tall weeds but after almost 40 minutes of deciding what to do, the young Harrier decided to carry the lifeless gallinule to a secluded part of the berm where he could eat it in peace.
