Hekla, the volcano

This picture was taken from a moving car on the Ring Road. Hekla, which is 4892 ft tall, is a very active volcano. Usually it is covered in clouds so we were lucky to see the peak. Hekla last erupted in 2000. In March 2014, three months before we took our trip, it started to bulge. Hekla is predicted to erupt soon.
