So, although I may have twenty-ish processed rolls of film sitting under my couch waiting to be scanned, I decided to go get my most recent roll developed yesterday, picked it up today and got straight to scanning. It's kind of a funny thing. Seeing these new photos in contrast to the photos I have been uploading over the past few weeks has made me realize that photography is so much more than just a form of art. It is truly magical to be able to take snapshots of your life and to be able to revisit those moments so clearly that you can feel how you felt then. I think the Holga and Diana have a beautiful way of making that happen.
This photo is actually just from this last Saturday. My first slacklining adventure in SLC's wonderful Liberty Park. These three are absolutely fantastic at it, but I feel like I was really starting to get the hang of it after a few tries. So although you can find these guys doing yoga poses on the line, I really think that the next time I attempt it, I will be able to make it all the way across just walking. And I'm proud of that.
One last thought. After seeing this roll of film, I am utterly convinced that the Holga and Tri-X were destined for each other. A true match made in heaven if you ask me.
