Album de la Revolucion Cubana

The cover of an album that tells the story of the Cuban Revolution in 268 trading cards that were given away with tinned fruit in the early sixties. Up in the clouds you can see Jose Marti looking down on the unfolding drama. As well as being a Cuban hero, poet and revolutionary, Marti also penned the lyrics to that latino chart topper "Guantanamera"...

I picked this album up at a book market in Havana a couple of years ago. After I uploaded the cover to Flicker I discovered that someone had already scanned the entire thing and posted it on the web. His copy is not in quite as good a condition as mine but if you're interested in seeing the rest of it click here.

    this is so cool!

although i don´t know if i´d say that martí "penned the lyrics" to "guantanamera"--he penned a poem that was later turned into a song but he was just writing a poem...

Would you please check to see who the artist was....I believe my father worked on this project before we fled Cuba in '62. His name was Roberto Caldevilla. I'm curious to find out.
    Thanking you in advance.

My dad did do the drawings, except they spelled his name Capdevilla instead of Caldevilla.

I am considering selling my Album de la Revolucion to the right person for the right price. I picked it up a few years ago while on a scholarship to Havana.
