Noting the European two year ban yesterday of nicotinoid pesticides I post images of two of the world's remaining honey bees pollinating wild flowers. I note that the companies at the last minute suggested the planting of wild flowers to save bees. That might work if we tore up thousands of acres of crops and planted wild flowers instead - provided we didn't spray them and the bees kept to the safe areas. (I did think it was about pollinating crops: not about saving bees for their own sake).
