Hot Tub Anyone?
This one might be a little too hot----like boiling! This is one of the many, many geo-thermal features in Yellowstone National Park. The lake in the background is Yellowstone Lake. The earth is thin here and I am actually standing in the caldera of an ancient volcano---that will probably blow again sometime in the future. The ground is even warm. The fog you see over the mountains is really smoke from the three fires that were raging when we were camping in the park.
I made this image with my Pentax K5 and Pentax 18-135mm camera. Processing was done in Aperture 3.
Camera settings: ISO 800, aperture f/8, shutter 1/1000, focal length 18mm.
