Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin needed to raise 750K for their new South Madison clinic, and I gave them 1/750 of what they needed so they put my name on a wall (along with tons of other folks) and sent me an invitation to a grand opening Saturday evening. I was welcome but my camera sort of wasn't. They finally found someone in authority and I told them I only wanted to take two shots: my name on the wall (I certainly wasn't going to come with a camera when they had patients who wanted confidentiality) and Tammy Baldwin, who was supposed to show up. Fine. They led me to the right wall and I got a picture of that. Didn't stick around for Tammy. The fact that the camera was making them uncomfortable made me uncomfortable, so I split. This is the inside of their front door on the way out.
I think it's Robert Heinlein who once said if you think people are plotting against you but they really are, you aren't crazy. So they may have been really touchy for a reason.
