Signs at Raleigh Tea Party March 2009

Americans across the nation are worried that the massive expenditures we have made lately will lead to creating government which attempts to do more for the people than is necessary or wise. A rally was held in Raleigh NC in March 2009 to protest the runaway spending. These rallies are being called Tea Parties, inspired by the Boston Tea Party. The brown sign that you can't read ironically says "CAN YOU READ?", and is addressed to members of Congress who vote YES for bills they do not have time to read.
