Gett'n Out Of Dodge (County)

Saturday afternoon I checked the radar and saw this storm system growing in size and strength. It was just East of Columbus at the time. The plan was to get to Fremont (In Dodge County) and stay in front of the storm to Omaha.

I wanted to take a different route back that I haven't taken before to see if I could find anything interesting along the way. I went South on Highway 77 out of Fremont and there was road construction. Speed limit 35 Fines Doubled. REALLY!?

Eventually escaped the road construction and stopped here for a few shots. I finally accepted the fact I wouldn't beat this storm and knew I would probably get hammered unless, there's another road West.

Jumping back in my car, I wound up my little Kia past the posted speed limit and came up on a small two lane road that headed West. Score!

I did manage to stay ahead of the storm but wasn't able stop along the road for photos because there weren't any shoulders on this road. There was one intersection I stopped at for a few more shots before getting back to Omaha dry, and hair still in place.
