- 1st sunrise shot of the year!
- ... i aimed and metered the middle of the dome for this shot.
- live view, mirror-lock
- EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
- Not too many people like to put the sun into the frame. often we'll see sunrise/sunset shots in the blue/red hour, ie when then sun is has gone down the horizon. It can be tricky to autofocus on a subject when the sun is prominent as it causes a lack of contrast. I used the subject, ie the dome, to block out the sun and focus and moved slightly to the side so that the sun enters the frame. It does take a little bit of trial and error, but u need to adapt/learn fast. u may get too much flare, under exposed pic, blown higlights
- why i love this shot? it's difficult ... and my patience certainly paid off :)
... and oh yeah, i got the notebook's monitor fixed. Getting reacquainted with it and gain back rhythm n 'confidence' ...
Hope the pic above looks ok/good/yummy on yours :)
