My other Greyhound, Lacy, occasionally likes to bury her dog crackers outside in the yard. She thinks no one is watching, but May is always surreptitiously watching from a distance to see where she buried it. She doesn't go get it right away but waits for a bit later when Lacy has forgotten about it. Once May finds it she comes prancing back into the house with the dirty cracker in her mouth flaunting it in front of Lacy, who almost seems to sigh with resignation with this silly behavior in May.
After that story this pic with May appearing at the back door looking like this would have been better if she had one of the found crackers in her mouth, but I love it, and it makes me laugh, because it captures this certain innocence in her expression..how completely unaware she is that the evidence of her rooting around in the wet dirt for hidden dog crackers is all over her face :)
