March 18, 2016 is the first anniversary of the Sendai Framework.

The world's most wide-ranging disaster risk reduction agreement ever, it intersects with a whole host of issues, from sustainable development and women's empowerment to climate change, health and hi-tech.

To mark the anniversary, we launched a campaign using the #switch2sendai hashtag, and on Thunderclap reached more than 20 million people with our message about reducing risk and raising resilience. If you still want to take part in the #switch2sendai campaign, you can print out a flyer from this album and send us a picture of yourself holding it. We suggest that you write the name of your city and/or organization on it.
