"This painting tells the story of climate changing that will greatly affect to the next generation. We all and what around us, such as plants, animals, could be wiped out. A civilization that we build over these years could be destroy. However, a lot of people nowadays is still busy working and destroy the nature for the money. In fact, money can not be eaten. Who produce foot is nature, so we must be friendly to the nature."
The competition was organized in conjunction with the ASEAN Day for Disaster Management and the International Day for Disaster Reduction. Winners will be officially awarded and invited to join children from the district of Chiang Mai and the Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok to symbolically step up for disaster risk reduction and discuss ways to reduce their vulnerabilities to disasters and implement the Children’s Charter adopted at the last Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction held in Geneva in May 2011.
