Dial M

#230/365 I thought I'd stick with the b&w film noir look. Every time I see one of these phone it reminds me of those scenes in the Private Investigators office where it starts off as a close up. To get this shot I had to take 2 frames. One at F2 for the Dof...and one at f8 to get the whole phone in focus. I then overlayed them....then erased the unfocused phone. I really liked the color version..it's so hard for me to go all b&w...but I stuck with it.

LOL me too Ed...would you believe my aunt still has one of these? It's amazing to watch her dial for a pizza at break neck speeds......I always get my fingers caught!

Fancy way and hard work to get the perfect dof! Did you have the cam on a tripod (please say no, handheld, otherwise I must run off to the store and det myself a tpod immedeatley lol). Great film noir feeling!

You are the MASTER at Black & White! I am going to have nightmares about this; it's beyond words for me to explain this shot, but I like it.
