SADC 2016 Gala Dinner, 18 July, Singapore
The South Asian Diaspora Convention (SADC) 2016 is a signature event organised by the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), National University of Singapore

The third SADC was held in Singapore on 18 and 19 July 2016. Over 75 distinguished speakers and more than 1,000 guests participated in the two-day Convention.

Day 1 included the following sessions:
- Inaugural session
- Book Launch "Engineered for Success" (Biography of Dr A Vijiaratnam, Singapore's First Engineer)
- Investing in Infrastructure
- Regional Integration
- Captains of Industry: Catalyst for Change
- Geopolitics of South Asia

The highlight of the SADC 2016 Gala Dinner was the In-Conversation session with Singapore’s Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong. The night also witnessed the Outstanding Member of the South Asian Diaspora (OMSAD) 2016 Award being conferred to Mr S R Nathan, Sixth President of Singapore.
