US Ambassador visits PRT Farah

U.S. Army Pfc. Matthew Gragg, security force team member for Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) Farah, conducts pre-mission checks on a MK-19 grenade launcher before departing for a mission in Farah City, Feb. 5. The mission was part of a 2-day visit by U.S. Ambassador Hugo Llorens, Assistant Chief of Mission in Kabul, Afghanistan, to meet with provincial level Afghan officials, engage with PRT's civil-military leadership team and to meet with soldiers and sailors assigned to the team. PRT Farah's mission is to train, advise, and assist Afghan government leaders at the municipal, district, and provincial levels in Farah province Afghanistan. Their civil military team is comprised of members of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
