Sony e-book Reader

Sony's Reader plays back PDF files, JPGs and text documents which means it's a pretty good tree saver in my line of work. The PRS-505 has never received the press bounce of Amazon's Kindle, mainly because you have to sync the Sony PRS-505 to your computer to get the files on board. Sony has now updated the reader's firmware to allow the Reader to use purchased books in the protected EPUB format from whoever is peddling them, instead of being tied to the Sony's e-book store, or just DRM-free text and PDF documents. It's a $300 purchase in the States, around £300 if you buy it in the UK.
