Fence Friday ~ San Francisco edition

Newer Older

And what could be more San Francisco than Golden Gate Bridge? After Yosemite and Sonora - and before going our separate ways to visit other friends and family in the area - Trina and I spent a day in San Francisco. We went to four different locations from where you can photograph Golden Gate Bridge and three of them had some kind of fence present. How crazy...I mean lucky is that? This one is taken from Marin Headlands. There is also one very convenient hole in this fence through which you can take a perfect shot of the bridge unobstructed. I'll post it sometime too, but for now have a Happy Fence Friday!

Oh, fabulous pairing of the top fence line with the bridge's line. And what a great romp that must have been to find all those spots. Love the processing for this - just killer cross processing. And the car bokeh is bonus. Great work!!

Hmmmm.... zombies making holes in fences that happen to obscure one of the world's greatest views... now who what would do that? Definitely not any Flickrinos from California. No. Never.

Irene, under your lens and framing that fence actually improves the view! I love the angle you chose here and the delicious colors! But where is the fog?!! It seems like California really wanted to show off for you and gave you perfect aquatrina (©) skies for your whole trip. You are welcome to become a Californian any time you want! Oh and by the way, Trina was NOT a zombie when she got out here to our cow county. She still had stars in her eyes from all the fun you two had ♥

I'm sorry I never got anywhere near finished with Flickr Friday, so I guess it's HFS(aturday) from me.

It was a fun day. A culmination was when we got stuck in a rental car garage as I was dropping Trina off. I finally found a janitor who drove me out through some secret service passage, but I bet there are hundreds of lost souls who live in this garage with no hope to find a way out of it ever! Talking about zombies...:-)

I've enjoyed reading the comments as much as checking out the photograph. So glad you didn't kill Trina! :-)

Masterful job of lining things up in this one. It looks super cool, as does the bokeh bridge. What a fun day you guys must have had. (Except for some of the driving adventures of course.)

Wow! Amazing Golden Gate compo, very creative. How great and clever is this wire parallel to the bridge. The tones are extremely beautiful too.

forgot to comment in the heat of my misery……I think you need to have a blog…..if my travels aren't doing my head in, yours definitely will! Mumbai, SF, Yosemite, London…..love the perspective you chose for the bridge….have not seen one through the fence before :)
