A bit of bright on a foggy day
I finished my quilt - the binding was done on Friday, but I had to fix a few little spots with some FrayStop yesterday and then run it through the washer. I love the way this turned out. It started life as a charm pack with coordinated solids - the line is Domestic Bliss - from Pink Chalk. I originally had something else in mind for it, but it didn't work out, so I just turned to HSTs. The only rule for the layout was that two prints could not be touching - but solids could. Once I finished the HST portion, it felt a bit small, so I ordered some more of the yellow (Kona Curry) for the border and I *love* the border. Some of the darker purple became the backing and I found an incredibly perfect squiggle fabric with all the colors in it for the binding - that might be my favorite part. All in all, incredibly happy with how this turned out!
It measures 42" x 42" - a good size for a little kid, which is who it's going to. (Eventually.)
