Tiedtville, Santa Fe Park and Speedway
Tiedtville was located in unincorporated Hinsdale near what is now Burr Ridge and Willow Springs. Fred C. Tiedt was an imaginative and successful entrepreneur who created the once popular Santa Fe Park. After his father's death, Howard Tiedt took over the Park and rebuilt the race tracks opening the Santa Fe Speedway in 1953. The Speedway was in business from 1953 to 1995.
