Darien Public Library District

In March 1982, nine years after the first failed referendum, residents finally approved the establishment of a tax-supported library. The Darien Volunteer Library became the Darien District Library. When the 6,000 square foot that formerly was Massey’s Drapery became available, the library moved to this location.
