So I have these antique windows that I bought for the sole purpose of using them as picture frames. I haven't gotten around to doing that yet, so I decided to make use of them. So I went down into my trusty baseme...er....studio and messed around a bit.
First problem - I don't have any lighting. I've got a small sb400 speedlight, but it has to be mounted on the hotshoe to work. I do have some work lights, but those are tuned for construction, etc so those didn't work out so well. I tried all sorts of arrangements to get the lighting right, but it just wasn't working. I've got this great concrete wall with so much character, but no way to light it. (Lighting kit suggestions are greatly appreciated!)
So - like they say - work with what you've got..so my interesting portrait turned into a horror shot. I made a comment on Anisha's photo today that made me think of this shot. It's not quite the elephant man, but I do have a long nose! ;)
