Black Lives matter installation, Belfast (1)

This is a photo from an informal installation on the railings of the Ormeau Park, at the Ormeau Bridge entrance, Belfast, June 2020.

 

Information attached states “We are a group of local residents showing solidarity with the Black lives Matter Movement, whilst also respecting the lock down restrictions. If you would also like to show your support against racism please add a pair of socks or a picture of your feet. [Heart shape] One love” Photos taken 9th June 2020; attached information indicated the exhibition would be up for a week.

 

There is also a quote from Angela Davis included (not shown here): “In a racist society it is not enough to be non racist. We must be anti racist”
