3-D Computer-Assisted Virtual Environment (CAVE)
The Computer-Assisted Virtual Environment in the CAES facility at INL, does resemble a cave — dim lights, black walls, ceiling and carpet. Projectors mounted behind three white walls, each 10 feet wide create 3-D images. With the help of specialized goggles and a handheld controller, a user is able to step into the CAVE and manipulate data.
