ice road truck driver
Dick Tolton from Ontario, Canada, demonstrating the water canon to VIP guests on the 'Steve Irwin". Dick has been a Seashepherd volenteer for 3 years. He decided he wanted to be a crew member and applied on-line and got accepted as a deckhand. This is his first campaign. Dick used to be a journalist and when he decided he wanted a change, he became an 'ice-road truck driver' where he drives big trucks over frozen lakes to very remote Aboriginal communities in Northern Canada, he's a 'jump in the seat driver' if there is work, i take it, however he does not know if there is work when he comes home, 'so i hope i can come onto the next campaign with Seashepherd', he says with a smile and as he is very passionate about Operation Kimberley Miinimbi 'I would like to take my goddaughter to the Kimberley how it is now and see the whales'
