Tunbridge Revisited

    Newer Older

I was not at all happy with the light the last time that I visited this great looking old church, so I made up my mind to revisit as soon as I could.

Cindy and I stopped by on our way to Minot on a cold (-5°F) December morning about an hour after sunrise to take a few more images. (Oh, I should mention that Cindy had sense enough to stay in the car, I was the only one foolish enought to go wading around in the snow in subzero temps with a camera in my forepaws :-)

That is cool. Is this open?
Old churches are made into houses around here - I don't know of any vacant.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Holy Places, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

A picture well worth the effort.
      Fantastic Photo!

Brrrrrr, way to cold for me. Beautiful church there. I love this style of church building. The one I attend looks alot like this.

Is it locked up?? Is there any way to get in? Most of these old churches have handcrafted ceilings etcetera!

Thanks! To tell you the truth, I really don't know if this is locked up or not. I've always been on my way to somewhere else the few times that I've stopped by here, and have never made an effort to look inside.

Its a great looking structure. Its too bad that its abandoned.
Nice to see that its windows are still intact.

A beautiful old church. Perhaps just a little too far away to see this from the Empire Builder.

If you keep your eyes peeled, looking to the South just a few miles West of Rugby, ND, you can probably catch a distant glimpse of this church. It's probably couple of miles South of the tracks, but it does sit on a rise...
