    16 Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own)

    Private Herbert Naylor served with the 16th Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own). His service number was 36807. He was recorded as missing on 3 May 1917 aged 25. He was married to Mebel Naylor of Leeds. He is commemorated at the Arras Memorial.

      Wife was Mabel (not Mebel) Naylor, of 33, Cambridge Gardens, Bramley, Leeds.

      Born 1892 at Meanwood in Leeds. He was the son of Simeon and Elizabeth Naylor. In 1911 he was living with his aunt and uncle on Wood Lane in Bramley and he was described as a Trimmer in a Tailor Shop.
      He married Mabel Duckworth on 16th Jan 1915 at St Peter's Church, Bramley.
