Description: Corporal Charles Overstreet was the photographer and radioman for the Headquarters Radio Unit of the 252nd Field Artillery Battalion. This unit served as part of the Ninth Army in Germany during World War II. The unit`s first stop on the way to Germany was England. They arrived in England in August of 1944. They camped at Camp Knook on the William Penn Estate in Heytesbury, England until October, when the unit was sent to Omaha Beach, France. While in England Cpl. Overstreet had the opportunity to visit London. This is a photo that he took of Buckingham Palace. Original photograph size: 3.12 in (h) x 4.76 in (w).
