International visiting librarians and scholars 2006 – Dr. Natalya Masyuk
In fall 2005, Dr. Natalya Masyuk, Professor and former Vice Rector for Financial Affairs and Head of the Department of Economics and Finance at the Ivanovo State Textile Academy (ISTA) in Ivanovo, Russia, visited UNCG as a Fulbright Scholar. She was hosted by the Department of Economics at UNCG. During her visit at UNCG, Professor Masyuk spent much of her time at the Jackson Library where she found most needed materials on world economics and finance, in the formats of monographs, e-journals, and databases. The library resources and services (e.g., ILL) enabled her to complete her Fulbright research projects. In spring 2006, Professor Masyuk was invited by Rosann Bazirjian, Dean of University Libraries, to give a lecture to library staff and LIS students on library economics and Russian history/politics. The lecture was well received by the audience.
