Aflatoxin is produced by a fungus called Aspergillus flavus and resides in the soil as well as dead decaying matter in the field. It contaminates maize, groundnut, cassava, yam and rice. It is dangerous to humans and animals. Aflasafe is developed by IITA to control Aflatoxin, to keep crops and humans healthy.
