Towards an inclusive blue economy - illustration 2

Ocean experts, policymakers, fisheries associations, business and civil society representatives and stakeholders attended an international event to discuss how to develop a marine economy that is fair and sustainable in late February 2019.

 

The 'Towards an inclusive blue economy' event was hosted by the International Institute for Environment and Development.

 

The participants considered strategies for developing national economies that protect marine resources and people's livelihoods to make sure that the benefits of the ocean are shared equitably.
