Elaionas Refugee Camp

Greece, Athens, August 28. 2015. ..The line outside the delivery point for the meals the Red Cross gives out in Elaiones. Three times every day, the volunteers from the Hellenic Red Cross prepare and deliver food to the refugees at Elaiones. This week there are 528 refugees in the centre. The Elaionas Centre has room for 800 migrants. It is run by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Hellenic Red Cross volunteers prepares and delivers three daily meals for the migrants and organize activities for the children in the centre two times a day. Most of the people here are from Afghanistan and stay for 2-3 days.
