Lillian Trasher
Lillian Trasher (1887-1961), famed as the “Nile Mother” of Egypt, was a well-known missionary who worked with orphan children. She founded the Assiout Orphanage (now the Lillian Trasher Memorial Orphanage) in Egypt in 1911, which ministers to homeless children and widows.
