Leaky Pipe Oasis

This one I had to run to the internet cafe and upload... This is a sight from the Karakum Desert on the highway from Turkmenbashi to Ashgabat.

There was a camel crossing sign on the road, and behold there actually are camels just wandering around, crossing the road.

Everytime there was a leak in the massive water pipe, the animals, camels mostly, would gather and drink. (Humans would also come for baths.)

These ones have only one hump. Much more to come, so stay tuned.

    Excellent shot!

We're in Bukhara now, but rumors say you've already left this city for Samarkand. Maybe we'll see you in Tashkent, we'll be there from Sunday, trying to get some more -stan visas.

We saw this sign near by, but didn't get a photo:

Tristan reasoned there'll be more down the road,
but we saw no other signs, while we did see more camels.
