Biogas from biomass at ICRISAT, Patancheru
In order to strengthen ICRISAT’s constructed wetland technology, a biogas plant has been set up on its Patancheru campus on Feb 17th, 2017.
The plant, designed and fabricated by Xeon Waste Managers, Pune, will process up to 100 kg of organic biomass generated on campus and can produce about 15 m3 biogas per day.
The plant has been established as part of ICRISAT’s Indo-EU project Water4Crops, under the expertise of Dr S.P. Wani, Director, IDC, Research Program Director, Asia.
